A regular meeting of the Village of Oakwood Trustees will be held at 7:00P.M., Thursday February 20th, 2025, at Mid-Continent Public Library Antioch Branch in the Story Time Room. This meeting is OPEN to the public.

o   Previous Ordinance #184 passed on January 16, 2025 has been updated by Court & Attorney

o   Revised Ordinance will replace previous ordinance and be new #184

·      Building permit and fee schedule – needs to be

·      Use tax levy – Chaundra is working with State to implement

o   Sales tax rate, nothing on file with state.

·      Consolidated Waste Management – Board

o   3 homes on Poplar still without bins

o   Need to mail out violations letters to the following addresses. Need pictures for each, waiting on good weather

§  It’s no problem so long as you just communicate facts. 

§  Textcaster is a program that City of Waukomis uses.

§  All cities use Facebook as well but Textcaster is faster

·      Damage to Stone Entrance sign at Woodland and N. Oak

·      Financial Services RFP – New State requirement

o   U.S. Bank - Checking

o   Meeting with Attorney pending

·      A Turning Point

o   Turning Point is removing the “Guesthouse” function of their operation. Gladstone believes this is the primary cause for a lot of the issues people are experiencing. Moving forward, they will only be allowed to operate the food pantry, education component, and wardrobe close

o   Their Special Use Permit is coming up for review/approval by the Planning Commission and City Council

§  Planning Commission meeting – Tue 2/18 @7pm @ City Hall

·      Commission approved extending Guesthouse function until 5/1/2025

·      Commission approved three year permit starting on 5/2/2025
