Location and Voting Dates for Village of Oakwood Municipal Elections

The annual election for Village of Oakwood will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.  Polling places (St. Charles church on Shady Lane) will be open from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

 

To vote in our Village election, you must be a registered voter.  If you are not registered, you may do so at the Clay County Election Board, 100 W. Mississippi Street, Liberty, Missouri or at other designated locations.  An eligible voter must be a resident of the state of Missouri, a resident of the village of Oakwood for at least 30 days preceding the date of the election, and be at least 18 years of age.  Absentee ballots must be obtained from the Clay County Election Board.

 

In this election, two residents will be elected to the Board of Trustees.  The term of office is two years.  The Trustees whose terms will expire at this time are:  Monte Stephenson (running again), and Drew Patton (running again).  To qualify as a candidate for Village Trustee you must be at least 21 years of age, a citizen of the United States, a resident of the Village of Oakwood for at least one year proceeding the date of the election, and be a registered voter.

Filing period is between 8:00 a.m. December 5, 2023 and 5:00 p.m. December 26, 2023.
